Bobby Dalziel from Etterick bought Cheviot Jamie as a pup, and at 11 months old he
won his first open trial, he has gone on to win and be placed in numerous open trials.
Cheviot Jamie - 7 months old
Cheviot Jaff went to Stu Stevens from Chesterfield,
Derbyshire, Stu got him at 5 months old. He is well
on his way to becoming fully trained, Stu is very
pleased with the way he is going.

Cheviot Bonnie was originally sold as a pet to Mr. & Mrs. Wilson from Burton in Kendal,
however Cheviot Bonnie had other ideas and every time she was let off her leash when
taken for walks she would take off and find the nearest field of sheep to round up.
Sensibly her owners thought she might be happier as a working dog, and she came back
to me, unfortunately I really don’t have time for another young dog so she has gone to
Andrew Warnock a farmer from Broughton near Biggar, where she has turned into a
useful working dog on his farm.
Cheviot Bonnie - 5 months old
Cheviot George went to Norman McDonald from Dalbeattie, when he was four months
old. Norman fully trained him, before taking him to Skipton dog sale in August 2006
where he was sold to Eamon McAuly from Ireland, who intends to sheepdog trial with
him.
Cheviot Spot - 4 months old
Cheviot George - 4 months old
Cheviot Nell went to Roger Handy who is from Settle, apparently she wasn’t interested
in sheep until she was about seven months old, and is now starting to be trained.
Roger has decided that Nell isn’t too keen on training, so she has been returned.
Cheviot Nell was put in pup and has produced a litter, the sire is the international
supreme champion Bobby Dalziel’s Joe, you can find out more about them here.
Roy was retained on the farm, and is working
well at hand with the sheep, he will also work
cattle.
He is showing great style when working the
sheep.
Cheviot Roy - 4 months old
Fern with her day old puppies
Fern gave birth to eight puppies. She had five dogs and three bitches. All of them
tri-coloured. Two of the pups were really smooth coated, two were semi smooth coated
and the rest were rough coated. The sire of the puppies was J. F. McRobert’s Nike, who
is a son of Roy, who was the sire of Ferns last litter.
Fern’s 2nd litter, born 09 / 04 / 05
Cheviot Roy - 12 months old
Cheviot Nell - 16 months old
I don’t have an updated photo of Cheviot Gem
but have spoken with her owner Alan Marston
from Winton, he says she is a super dog and
is able to do any work asked of her on their
dairy farm.
Cheviot Spot also went to Norman McDonald at four months old and was fully trained
by him. Cheviot Spot has now been sold to Alistair Mundell from Moffat. Alistair hopes
to run him in the 2006-7 Dumfries & Kirkcudbright nursery league.
